Statement of Faith

To glorify God by preaching the Word faithfully, making disciples intentionally, and reaching our community through love, service, and the transformative power of the gospel. 

To be a refuge for the broken, a training ground for disciples, and a beacon of truth for the lost through the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

CFC believes the Bible is divine revelation from God given to mankind. The Bible is the only true, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God which explains the great love of God to the world.

CFC believes there is one God, omnipotently present in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

CFC believes in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ was God incarnate, born of the virgin Mary. We believe in the miracles that Jesus performed while on earth. We believe in his substitutionary and atoning sacrifice by shedding His blood on the cross for the forgives of man’s sins. We believe in the supernatural power of His bodily resurrection. We believe in His ascension into heaven to the right hand of the Father. We believe in Jesus’ promise to return in glory.

CFC believes that every person is lost and destined to face the judgement of God without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that salvation comes through repentance of sin, receiving Jesus into your heart, and believing that He was resurrected from the dead. From there, the Holy Spirit comes into the heart of the believer and begins His regenerating work. We believe that God’s promise of everlasting life stands true for the believer, however, for the non-believer, their soul will spend an eternity in hell separated from God.

CFC believes in power and presence of the Holy Spirit which indwells the believer, giving that person the ability to live a godly and sanctifying life in Christ Jesus.

CFC believes in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.

CFC believes in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the church.

CFC believes in the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ.

CFC believes in God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female.

CFC believes in the dedication of oneself to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.

CFC believes that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen.
